need a master cyclinder cap

need a master cyclinder cap
My cap on my master cylinder was frozen on and when removing it I punctured it while using a punch. Where can I buy a new one? The master cylinder is good just not the cap.

You could try the numerous reproduction parts vendors lick Dennis Carpenter, Mac's or Job Lot, maybe even NAPA or other good quality parts store. Also, if you have a shop in your area that specializes in brake work give them a call and ask if they have the part or know of a place that does. A cap is a kind of generic part and might still be used on big trucks and industrial applications like a fork lift. Take the old cap down to one of these places and see if they can match it up to something in stock.

1A-2162-A is the original genuine Ford part number for the master cylinder cap.
The FORD DEALERS and obsolete parts vendors I listed have the original GENUINE FORD PART.
I only search for genuine Ford parts here on FTE, not aftermarket reproduction parts.
If any of the FTE sponsors would have had the GENUINE FORD PART, I would have said so.
It takes time to look up, then search for obsolete parts.
How many other of the 500,000 registered FTE members are doing this?
