really need advice...

I need to know about the vacuum modulator on the e4od trans on my 95 supercab 351... after being in OD and going back to drive the engine revs to about 2500 rpm before slamming into gear, someone told me to change the vacuum modulator and that should solve the problem but I would like a second opinion please. any input would be greatly appreciated... thanks

Another possible problem area is the MLPS. Sometimes this switch gets water in it, or the plug connection corrodes, and it makes the tranny do strange things. Sometimes it causes what Ford calls a false nuetral. You can be driving along and the tranny just drops into nuetral and the engine reves up. Few seconds latter it slams into gear and then back into OD. Sometimes it does this very quickly and it feels like tranny shudder.
Good Luck Frank
