BTW,,,,,
Was at The Mid America Truck Show today.( My feet are killing me!) Stopped at the Sirus / XM Booth, Boy did I hear them getting it from truckers BIG TIME! Truckers are not happy with the changes going on with the channels being changed around!!! Horay for our side! After hearing them talk,,,, I might get my subscription again.
I have a sirius, and the rates are increasing, the channels are now a little bit worse then before the merger(although not that bad still). I havent noticed lots of commercials or whatnot though.
Up here you can go so and so far away from a city center then there is no radio. If having music keeps you sane (like myself) you have no option but paying for satellite radio.
I would just use fm if I could get away with it I think. The fm radio stations arent all THAT bad!
There are just a few from this year, Did not get out of the South Hall. There's over 1 Million Sq. Ft. of Expo Center to see the whole show, It DOES take 2-3 days to see the whole thing! 10 photos in all.
on a related note, 2 months ago I called to get my boat radio reactivated. XM claimed they couldn't find it in their computer. 20 mins later they claim I've never had more than one radio. I told the guy I'd be kind of pissed if I had to go inside, log in to thier site, do his job for him and look it up.
I do just that. He claims he can't look it up because he doesn't have the same "software" i have.... THE EFFING INTERNET!!!!!!!!!
Its now 15 bucks to activate a radio,(for the guy to seriously enter some numbers in a database)
and more than 1 radio on the account is now around 12 bucks....
Ya`ll have a solid beef ,I don`t have either system so my dog is not in this fight.. However I did buy some shares of sirius back before merger, around $1200 worth ,not much mind you but still. I think it`s around .25 a share now. Honestly I don`t even look cause it`s a lost case. I do however am very pro-active in monitoring my others. There thats my beef to add to the pot

XM sucks more now than they ever have before
I will have no further contact with XM. I am going to get all of my ducks in a row and have all of my information and call Discover to dispute the April, May, June, July and August charges.
I was fairly happy with XM pre-merger. It has really gone downhill since and just isn't the value to me it once was. It was good when there were 2...at least you had a choice.
