I ran Diesel Kleen in my 93 IDI for about 2 years. But I recently started a job as a apprentice mechanic at a heavy duty truck shop and all the truck drivers are crazy about this stuff called howes. Ive started using howes in my 05 F350 since the shop i work at sells it but i havnt used it long enough to know if i like it or not.
I have been running Opti-lube for a few years. I decided to try it after reading a study on the best diesel fuel lubricants. Opti-lube came in second behind bio-diesel. I tried to post the study but it has not been posted by the moderator?
I buy the gallon jugs of XPD, 1oz/4 gal of fuel in the summer. A gallon lasts me a long time. Good insurance in my opinion. I live in S. Dakota and it doubles as a anti gel plus cetene. And since it was shown to have good lubrication in independant tests, i feel like I'm getting my $$ worth.
