Here's some of the base specs on it though I'll post up the dyno curves in here (as well as our web site) as soon as I get them from our engineering department.
100hp/220lb-ft extra at the ground (max setting)
Adjustable on the fly (no downloading)
6 power settings
Simple 3 plug install (no sensors to install)
Both the PDA and switch control versions have built in EGT limiting, boost pressure limiting, trans temp and trans slip limiting, cold engine protection, safe range turbo calibration for use at high altitude, coolant temp limiting (tuner will shut off if there's an over heat) and an automatic bypass mode.
Undetectable by the dealer (no program is laoded into the stock ECM)
Soot output is about 2% higher then stock on the max power setting (when at 100% throttle)
Soot output to is the same as stock on level 5 power setting (when at 100% throttle)
Soot output is 2% less than stock on level 4 and below (when at 100% throttle)
Quote from the Bank's rep. on another Ford diesel site.
This is from the horse's mouth. It went on sale to the general public 3-02-09, also he didn't say anything about having to be used with the ram air or exhaust mods.
I think the 6.4 has already proven more durable. Modded trucks are pushing more than 40 psi without popping any heads off. The 6.4 is puting out 550 hp which a 6.0 could never do with just a programmer and certainly couldnt do it without popping the lid on the engine. Im not cracking on the 6.0 but the 6.4 is far more durable when it comes to the engine itself.
I thought I read somewhere that the ford computer measured and recorded engine parameters and this was what made a tuner or programmer visible to ford techs. If this is the case it would seem to me that an increase in fuel and whatever else the banks programmer does would essentially be detectable, maybe not as an out right breach of the stock computer, but as these parameters would be out of stock range. I'm skeptical at this point... maybe someone who knows more about it can chime in here.
I guess warranty compliant means to me that I can go to any ford dealer tell him what I'm running and have no problem. just my 2 cents...
Greyman....just checked the banks site and doesn't look like they have anything up there about the programmer yet. Do you know where we can get more product info?
The info I got is from a Banks rep. on another site. That's all he posted, but he also said that you could call and order or get any other info you wanted. He said the website would be updated soon. Hope this helps.

Depends on how you look at it and it depends on your dealer. Changing your tire size can officially void your warranty because it adds stress to the transmission and driveline. Seems extreme but I have seen it happen.
Some dealers are selling tuners and claiming they will back them. Other dealers will pull a fuel sample just to validate you are using ULSD.
I think the point originally made was that this is a plug and play deal (I think it said 3 connections) so better safe than sorry to simply remove it before going in for service.
I remember driving a Mercedes from FL. It was cold. I called the factory and they said add 6 gallons of gasoline. I said, send me a telegram. My Point: Why not just add 2 gallons of gasoline to your fuel, it will burn cleaner, give you at least 100 more horsepower, and do all the good things that I have read in this thread. WHY NOT?

Banks usually does not reprogram the computer like others out there, they go in and replace the programming by doing a bypass. The only thing I have heard is that Ford has a meter that tells them the last time it was flashed. If you do a bypass, this would mean that it would not be detectable. I am not modding mine until after the warranty is up though even though this mileage thing has me in a fit of anger.
