Banks Vendor posted on Diesel Stop and says it is for sale. He didn't say anything about the Warr. but did say it will cost between $620-$969 and power levels are 100 hp and 220 torque on max settings. May not be on website but you can call them for info.
I got the call last week sometime. I asked if the programmer was warranty compliant and the rep I talked to said that it was undectable by ford. I again asked if the programmer was warranty compliant and he told me that nothing was tampered with in the computer and that the programmer "adjusted" things down stream of the computer. This leads me to believe that ford might not be able to detect it but its not something you probably want to leave plugged in when taking the vehicle in for servicing. He also said that it was not plug and play and required several hours to install.
The numbers I was told was 100 extra hp but that was only achievable with the ram air kit and exhaust. He quoted me a price of 1950 I believe for all.
On the up side the whole kit is supposed to increase fuel economy by 2-5 mpg. I asked if banks had any plans to produce a system that would eliminate the DPF and was told that the 6.4 will not run reliably with out the DPF so no.
I'm still on fence... 100 hp isn't that much power for 2 g's. I think spartan was runing a deal earlier on this year with for the cold air intake, dpf delete and programmer for around that price and that will a net 275 hp increase. On the other hand banks has an excellent reputation(not that spartan doesn't).
Anybody else hear anything different or care to elaborate?

In other words, since they arent programming the computer they cant deactivate the regen cycle. Spartan and SCT have already proven that these engines run great w/o the DPF, its just a matter of how Banks achieves their results.
There was a day that 100 HP was really impressive but now its barely more than a 1/3 of what the other companies are doing. But if you can pick up even 75 hp, 2-5 mpg, and not void a warranty I think it will sell.
My question is about the regen. If you increase the fuel you increase the soot. So in theory this is going to fill the DPF even quicker and cause more frequent regen's. More regen's means worse economy and shorter life of the DPF. The cost of a DPF is another $1,700.
I know there is a rep from Banks that watches this site so hopefully he chimes in and answers these questions as well as others.

I agree with what you are stating about the increase in HP=more regen.
The Banks guy told me though that if you run the ecomony setting that there would be fewer regen's, thus a help with the mpg's.
Does the economy setting add or decrease HP? Again, if I could add 75 hp, increase mpg, be able to tow and not void a warranty there are some perks here.
I love the idea of a Spartan or SCT but I cant use 275 hp when I am towing anyway. I think their tow setting is 75-150 hp. Plus the idea of voiding a warranty just isnt in the cards for me just yet.
I am interested in the mpg, the 6.4 should have all the power I'll ever need (16' dovetail w/Jeep on it and a slide in) but anytime I can increase economy without voiding a warranty is good.
Thats funny right there. The other thing that can or could happen is the early birds on SCT and other chip makers will start losing parts on their trucks which is not so funny. \
Yep thats true but we have not had enough time of modded trucks yet to see the real issues come up. I sure hope it is not the same as the 6.0 liter. I lived through that nightmare of having a modded truck and losing the warranty already. don't need to do it with again.
