i have a 88 f250 4x4 5.8l on the door tag it reads trans-k,axle-c9,spring-6f,body-bg4,type-f268 what does this mean? i am redoing the brakes as well as other issues and need to know the size of rear shoes 3'' or 2.5''

Most if not all Heavy Duty trucks had the 3" shoes. However the best way is just to pull one of the drums and measure across the width of the brake shoe.
