overhead compass/ gauge bulb replacement

2001 F-250

Does the the overhead electronic computer/compass-temp guage have lightbulbs that are re-placeable in it . Mine looks dim/dark on the outside edges of the display. If there is, how do you open it up ? I can see some plastic tabs/clips on the inside of the sunglasses pocket but I'm not sure how to remove?

Thanks again.

Update in my case the display worked fine (I guess lucky so far.) However I thought it was dimly lit, so instead of putting on a switch like you did, I just disconnected the blue with red tracer wire from behind pass.side kick panel and it's now brightly lit all the time.
