Big problem

After a frustrating weekend with my electric fuel conversion the truck is running better than ever. As if the conversion didnt cost enough I snapped the tank selector valve in half and burnt up my starter in the same day.

But now I have an even bigger problem I need assistance with. There is a very steady fuel leak coming down my oil pan and bellhousing. The valley is dry and the supply lines to the back of the heads are dry too. Does anyone know where this could be coming from??

On the back of the head there is a plug, I cant remember if it was oil or fuel that was leaking out of a buddy of mine truck, good luck.

I only seen the one on the pass. side never looked at the driver. It had been awhile since it happened.

The fuel gallery plugs are tough to get to especially the one behind the DP. There is 2 plugs in each head 1 front, 1 rear.....
directly above the water jacket freeze plugs.
Have you checked the fuel lines going to the rear of the heads?

Thanks jim, I checked the lines to the back of heads, dry as can be. I'm at work but going to look at it when I get home. Is it possible to replace the drain plugs (if that is the problem) by just removing dp? Or do I have to pull heads?

I hope you did not crack the head where your fittings go in. You would not be the first!

I never took the fittings in the back of the head out, reused stock feed lines. I used a tubing cutter to remove banjo fitting and attached hoses. I just dont understand why it is happening on new setup and not the factory one. Could the higher pressures have blown out the o-rings? My old pressures were around 42psi, my new setup is set to 68psi.

Ok good. That shouldn't have caused any cracks! I would willing to bet thought that the supply line to one of the heads is leaking. Those stock fittings use a rubber "olive" and if disturbed after 14 years I would guess it would be easy for them to leak. Look closely there. The chances of the fuel galley plugs leaking is slim.

ok, i dont know when I'll be able to look at it again, she is parked at my moms and i am using work truck. hopefully I can get off work early one day to go over to her house. i still have to do the starter before i can get it back to my house

Well good news, I'm up and running again. I turned pump on and got under hood with a real bright light. I found my leak at the fuel restriction sensor I installed. Took it out, put a plug there, no more leaks!! Then put in a new starter and she's good to go. Thanks for the responses.

Off topic, the wiring harness that went to the fuel heater, water sensor, restriction sensor has a harness going into the back of the HPOP. What does that sensor do?
