Thought you guys might be interested in this. I recently put one in my 96 F250 w/ a 7.3 and turned it up to level 3 had a serious smoking issue so I went to turn it down a level. It completely locked up the tuner and my PCM. Called Edge they had to send me another unit to force a stock program back in, and a replacement programmer. They said it was due to having had a previous program despite it being removed when I bought the truck. The new one programmed fine again,... less smoke. Switched it between different programs and it seemed fine a week later I went to turn it back to stock and it crashed out again. Once again Edge sent me the stuff to return it to stock, they tried to claim it isnt their programmer, its the stock PCM is crap and that if I replace it with a new one it wont have that problem. Even if I replace it wont change the program on the PCM just how old it is. While they were cool about paying for Overnighting it to me and shipping back the stuff, The headache is hardly worth it. Im regularly on the forum for the 94.5-97 guys and they said its a common problem w/ them. Had to argue w/ Edge to get a return authorization to return it. Not so sure Id recommend them. Now Ive gotten concerned cause I have one on my 99 and never tried to adjust it, luckily it passed emissions w/ it on level 1. Just a word of warning.
