My bet is that it isn't one thing causing your clunk, but a combo of everything the drivetrain adding up to a clunk.

Thanks Jason. By the way, you have a great name, I'm a Jason too. Any way back to the truck. Hopefully this weekend I can find a few hours to go play with the truck. I will re-check the u-joints, the truck was in gear when I checked them the otherday. It is going to be a while before I can start buying parts. I have to recover from buying the truck and get it tagged. I am making a list of the things that need to be replaced and prioritizing them from most important to least important.
