Part VI
Lisa- HAHA you got a hangover hehe. Sorry, but call it jealousy- I can nip on my bottle of "Listerine" but there's no way I could tie one on- my *** would be hung from a flagpole!
Good morning everyone else! Anyone see that movie "I love you man" yet? We're supposed to see it tonight, but I'm not the biggest fan of the modern retarded-lovey-dovey comedy. Any input on this w/in the next hour would be appreciated!
And I'm back from PA now. Got there safe and sound Friday. Mom went to Friday's game. That one went 13 innings. Normal game is 9 for you non-baseball people.
Then I went on Saturday. It was 5-0 Sox at the end of the first inning. Then they tarped the field and had an hour and a half rain delay which really stunk. I left around 8:30 because the rain wasn't letting up and I knew the game would be REALLY late if it wasn't even the 2nd inning and it was already 8:30. Sox ended up winning it 11-6. It ended at like 12:30. That would've been a long night.
Finally got enough sun to get the grandparents lawn mowed. Starting work for the summer tomorrow.
Tomorrow's tasks: Mow the lawns at the farm house and in front of the barn. Then mow as much of the roadside as possible weather and time permitting.
The town doesn't plow worth poo in the winter and they've never mowed the roadsides on the road the shop is on. We always end up doing it. And we end up pushing back the piles of snow the mayor and police lieutenant leave on the road in the winter since they plow across the street (illegal) and their little quads can't push it all the way across apparently.
I mixed my liquors a little too much last night and I am feeling it this morning. Got a pot of coffee on, drinking water, ate some Ibuprofen already. Sometimes i have to remind myself why I don't drink like that anymore.

(Eh, once in awhile ya gotta turn the badger loose, right?
)But the run downtown was fun. A year ago this week, the city of Cedar Rapids was ravaged by a 500-year flood. The downtown area is called Czech Village, where all the night life is at and that was the area of town that was about 15 feet under water at one point. Some of the bars have come back, but a lot of the area down there looks exactly as it did last year when the water receded. Sorta sad but at the same time its neat to see the people rally and rebuild.
(It was a mess there last year... I spent some time trying to do some sandbagging when it happened, and it ended up being all for nothing. Water's gonna go where water wants to go, I guess.)
I like women just as much as I like men and I never understood "cattiness".
(Sorry... I quit reading after I got to this part, Lisa...
)You can't fight nature. People back at home are learning this lesson hard, with the beetle infestation and wildfires. Flood is the natural course of nature around here, and in Colorado its fire. Can't stop it, can't prevent it.

Yea we have already heard the story with the girl on the subway/train and had our dreams killed then..

Lisa I so hear ya on that one. I will have couples pull in to motel to check in. Guy walks up to office and I will come out and if wife or g/f sees me they come up to office and stand there gazing. Like I want a "taken" guy? Like up until recently I wanted any guy?
I have guests in here all the time and the best ones for goofing around are the old married folks because they are so secure in their relationships we can joke and non nasty flirt. The biker couples almost always are fun people. But you get those couples that if i look at guys on the property or flirt with them they come unglued. and i don't " hey baby come screw me" flirt just silly flirting. Girls are evil for most part.
My first husband was an Adonis. women were always sniffin round. we used to go into a restaurant and waitress would be drooling all over him taking his order in detail. I got "you want fries with that?" ok. Females are catty critters for the most part. But your like me...we could be total cool friends.
Not much action in the OT this weekend.
Sorry about the job Mike. I have not found the details yet but saw it mentioned. I will go back and read more.
WE did not do well fishing this year. Only 14 lake trout, 1 seagull, and 0 salmon in almost 12 hours. We still had fun though.
hey Lisa! Gad you got some mowing done...you get rain means we will for sure. I am for sure tired of it.
I need some help from some "parts" people. I ordered some struts for my 2000 excursion. Paid good money for em, well they are nothing like what I have on there and thus wont fit. I tell the company they do not fit but they insist they are correct. They are sachs Lift O Mat OEM/gas charged lift support F75Z-7842104AB SAC SG304023 240500 06/08 Trunk strut. Can you parts folks check and see what these are actually for? Im going crazy because they say yes but the fit or rather non fit not even close fit actually say no.
(and yes that could go in a tech thread but I have better chance of getting answer in here)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
