Hi Greg it sounds like your dog might need some dog drugs for the thumder storms
We tried that once when we brought her for a plane ride cross country, but nothing worked. The vet gave us 2 or 3 different prescriptions, none of which appeared to have any affect. For some reason she goes bonkers for thunder & lightning, trains, and our neighbors Harley (essentially anything overly loud).
morning all. speaking of thunder and lightning, we had some roll through my area around 1100ish.
im off to school around 11:15. i gotta take moms buick cause my truck needs front brakes so shes parked till tomm when i get the parts and work on her. 30,000 hard miles aint bad for a set of front brakes. but, i need new rotors too, its making an ominous grinding noise, which it did last time. never did that before the caliper was "supposedly" replaced, by the same shop that "replaced" a couple balljoints that went bad 3 months later....... needless to say i dont go there anymore.
Tell me about it. ...Wiring looms were typically a rats nest of frayed, chafed, corroded and shorted spaghetti whose colors were so faded as to be indistinguishable IF the schematic you had was even correct.
Switch gear was pretty poor in that era as well.
Jim:
To this day all wiring in aircraft is White, with wire identifier codes inked on about every foot and a identifier sleeve at each end with an inked on code.
And to work on aircraft you can't be color-blind must be so you can safely change out the colored navigation lights.
Some aircraft flying today are over 50 years old, like the B-52.
Cars have rats nests, airplanes literally have mice & bird's nests and the occasional gremlin
There are times when we just run a new wire, because we don't have the time to comb through the wires to find the break or chafe.
A car's wiring only goes a few feet whereas in transport category aircraft a wire bundle run can be over a hundred feet.
Howdy, everyone. I played with Pinkie today. I got the horn fixed (connector was loose) and figured out the bulb for the 4x4 indicator was burnt out. Then I fixed the cover of my Geometry book with some handy dandy duck tape. It took so much to fix it I made the executive decision to cover the whole cover in tape and never have to worry about it again.
