Hey guys, my passenger door on my 99 F250 4x4 is rattling. It is shut tight and still rattles. I have looked at all the strikers but i cant find any thing wrong. Any advice???
pull off door panel, super simple, takes all of 2 minutes, pull/pry off the door lock/window button trim, and light cover on door panel, two 8mm bolts i believe behind these two panels, pull/pry off black plastic piece in corner of window, lift up and pull out on door panel, it will come right off... inside, the window tracks have two bolts that hold them tight to the door, 10 mm i believe, mine were driving me crazy, i tightend them up and no more rattles... also the door lock arm can rattle too if it is not secured down with the plastic clips.. hope that helps
Hey guys. Thanks for the advice. I did everything that bergerson said and nothing was loose. Im glad i tore into it though because i found other things that i fixed. If you have any other ideas please let me know. Thanks
My pass. side rattles terrible - Found where one of the plastic hold on clips on bottom by speaker was broken off. Gonna put a screw in it one of these days. Its worse when its cold.
its the weather stripping all collapsed in and worn out. do the door seal mod and the chatter will disappear. about 20 bucks and an hour of your time...
I have looked at mine and it seems that the rubbergaskets are flattened out. I am going to fish a peice of rubber tubing through them in the spring. I'm going to use surgical type tubeing. it seems that the rear doors are worse. My truck is a super cab not a crew cab.

Mine is a supercab as well Jim sounds like we have the same problem, let me know what u find out and how it turns out........
I checked everything that was suggested. My weather stripping is in suprisingly good shape. The door cannot be pushed in any more when shut. I checked all clips and screws when i had the door panel off...The door seems to stick out a tiny tiny bit towards the bottom of the door. other than that the door looks like all the other doors.
