Okay there Mr Drewski 2, I for one would like to see much more pictures in your gallery, and nice work by the way. It will be quite some time before I will be working on my pickup as I have to finish my panel and you have me thinking I could build my own bed, thanks.

I would gladly create a gallery if I could figure out how to bring my photos from photobucket to the gallery. It's not a problem in the threads. Maybe I'm not understanding correctly, but my understanding is that unless you're a paying member you are not supposed to upload directly from your computer. The only two pictures in my gallery were uploaded from my computer before I read that I wasn't supposed to.
Am I reading this correctly?
I post regularly on other forums and have never run into this situation. Tell me how and it will be done!
All the pictures I have are on my computor and I just upload them to my gallery here. I've never uploaded to another site but don't imagine it would be much different. You have to go to user cp,create gallery then browse your files and add to gallery,I think it's fairly explainitory, if you read through the sticky that bobj49 started "how to post pics" I think it explain all the how to's in there. You'll get the help you need on here
Nice work on your ride!.......I'm not sure, but I don't remember seeing anything on here that says you can't post pics to a gallery.....I did it for my pics, allthough they were posted to a "album" rather then my gallery.....It might be that one has to post a certain number of threads first, b-4 you can do a gallery/album...I'm sure someone will chime in on this that know's.....keep up the nice work on your effie!!

first step ,log onto site, click on user cp,then click edit gallery then click on the create gallery be sure to check the box to show that is a tech album fill in the discription then you should be able to upload from your computor
What they said. I think the deal is uploading directly into posts is something you can only do as a member. Uploading to a gallery is fine as a freeloader like me.
If you look closely at the first photo you will see that I welded steel tubing to the angular part of the bed. I think I used 1 1/4" tubing. If you try to weld it in without regard for heat buildup, it will create a curve in the tubing. If you take your time with the welds it will require a very small amount of filler to smooth it out and no one will be the wiser as to how you did it.

Did you MIG or TIG the tubing to the angular part of the bed sides? Once your able to post more pictures in a galley let us know, I for one have an interest.

Maybe I misunderstood the rules of the forum. I know how to do the uploads from my computer, just thought it was against the law here. Still wish I could figure out why I'm not able to move the photos from my photobucket account into the gallery. I already have them resized to 640 x 480 for posting on forums. It's a simple copy-paste when posting.
Anyway...........my photos will start tonight. Wish I had documented more of my build, but it started BDC (before digital camera) I've had people ask me about the top chop and we did video the chop on vhs. Unfortunately the video was done in 1988 and it has been misplaced. I keep hoping it will eventually be found. Really appreciate all your responses and help.

I have both mig and tig welders, but I prefer the speed of a mig for fabrications like the bed. Mig was used to weld the tubing on the bedsides. I used the tig on the roll pan with the tunneled light openings. I've still got a lot to learn about the tig, but I really enjoy working with it.
I tried loading pictures into the gallery tonight, but all I get is error messages.
Don't know if this is my problem or the site.
