They are the king ranch model but with the plain ford center caps. Basically identical to the lariat rims except for a little paint. I thought they were the same as the lariat when I bought them because they had some brake dust on them. Once I installed them and cleaned them up, I noticed some gold(ish) paint between the spokes. Still looks good but not quite what I was expecting. Anyone ever taken the gold off? Sand blast? Paint remover? Don't bother?

I did have a little rub at full left turn. Nothing a drill, couple a zip ties, and my wife's Creme Brulee torch couldn't fix in 5 minutes.

Almost to 25 posts. Will try for that picture soon.

I had to use zip ties on both sides. The right side had less rub than the left though. Only had to heat and mold the left side. Both sides are still close though.

Welcome to the "OEM 20 Club"!

Looks grrreat!! Welcome the the OEM 20 Club.

I'd leave the wheels as is... the tan in the wheel should be a nice accent to black of your X. Besides, blasting the wheels to remove the paint will do more dammage than good.

Here's a posting "present" so everyone can see your X without linking to it :

You should use FTE's picture posting stuff... that way you can post pics directly in a thread.

BTW... I put closed caps on my front wheels because I didn't like the way the 08 caps didn't match up with the 4x4 lockout hubs.

3-sons, Thanks for posting the picture. I hadn't thought about the closed center caps on the front. I may do that. I will work on the picture posting and try to get a few pictures up in my gallery or something.

I paid $900 for the rims and tires. I've been looking occasionally on Ebay and this seemed about as cheap as anywhere considering the tires are still basically new. I just walked into a local shop and asked if they ever came accross this setup and they said "sure, got a set in the back"

The spacers were $640 shipped. I went with the Steel ones from Fred. I'm sure I could have gotten away with aluminum but I just felt better towing with steel. The aluminum ones may have been a better choice due to the weight???

3sons, high1, mosta which spacers do you all have? Aluminum or steel?
