I doubt you would be able to out run the cops with that clumsy thing, even IF you could get it to go fast enough.

Got'a CJ 5 and a 4-wheel-drive and a Smokey on my tail.

Got racing stripes and dual pipes and Smokey's gotta Ford.

Gotta mill with a four pot carb you know but Smokey's stroked and bored.

I had the edge with a rig that'll never fail

That CJ-5 and a 4-wheel drive? It's sittin' out back a' the JAIL!

I want a Challenger 5.7L Hemi 6 speed but that's 'cuz I've always been a 'Cuda fan.

My parents have a Hemi Charger and that's the only fault I have for it. It would be cooler with a 6-speed.
It's a great car though and they have gotten 25-27 mpg on a couple of long road trips. That's pretty good for roughly 350 HP.

The next city over has a fleet of Hemi Chargers for cop cars and a bunch of Durango's for the bad weather and off road chases.

I think that the fuel budget would be the last thing they cut back on. im sure they can pay for the fuel.

That and all the tickets they hand out should pay for the fuel too. They sure do give em out alot around here where i live.

You should post pics of that swap, since everyone has their own take on doing it; more perspectives are always better. You seem to have gotten your 60 swap done in record time, so I'm very interested in the process you used for it. I'd like to do mine, and the less down time the better.

Dodge/Cummins- CW Mcall, Wolf Creek Pass is great too.

I don't get into the "how to make power and mileage" threads anymore. There's a lot of mis-information, dis-information, finger pointing ect. so I just don't touch those threads anymore. These things are old tech, there's only so much you can do to make power and keep reliable. If trying for more than that, you just have too much time and money on your hands. The basic design of the 6.9-7.3 top end (heads, intake) limits what you can do.
