Question about Job #2 vs Job #3 Build Identifier. I'm getting a 6.4 this weekend and should I avoid Job #2 trucks?
Not much difference between jobs 1, 2, and 3. For the most part, job 2 introduced the larger front air dam and job 3 introduced the back up camera. (I'm sure others will contribute to this list) This thread is discussing the software update as it pertains to regens. Ford was updating software during all 3 runs. All 3 builds operate equally once the final update is installed. (08B07) Make sure the new truck has update 08B06 (cooling system venturi tee kit) performed as well.
Good luck on your new truck! What a great time to buy!
Cheers
JIM
Lets try to make it 100% convinced. Have you ever listened to two motors side by side? One that is worked hard and the other not?
There is a difference. Hook that thing up to something and put it to the floor and run it up a hill or two. That should help.
Deershooter, put your Dads truck on a car hauler and go for a ride. It is past the 500 mile break in so run it. I think you will see a change.
Well, looks like this is 110% convinced. Best thing I did for mine ,after it was broke in, is hook my 5th-wheel to it & tow it to florida. I agree you need to get that bad boy out & run it hard once in awhile.
