Similar to you, Chase, I found mine after finding out that every one on my list (all 6 trucks) had been either sold or was NOT in decent enough condition to buy, and I ended up getting one which was 2 years newer (and more expensive) than I had planned for. I managed to get mine at almost auction price, though, because they were taking it out to auction the next day.
All in all, I bought my truck with no knowledge of the OASIS report options, but did review the Autocheck reports and did my own uneducated inspection, and am fortunate to have found a good, clean truck. I've been very happy with it!
I didn't get an OASIS until after I had bought, but I did run a Carfax and inspected everything I could think to before buying. I even hassled the dealer about the K&N filter and dusted intake and asked if they'd be willing to replace the turbo for me. They finally agreed to give me a good enough price so that if something did fail I could replace it after buying the truck... worked out great for me!
Chase I believe that your turbo is failing quickly I believe I would go in and make sure they put on a late 99 turbo to make sure it doesn't fail again .
