As I would start up a slight incline and put a load on the engine the problem would start. I thought maybe a dirty air filter so I replaced it with a K and N drop in. Problem went away for about a week and then returned. Also I disengaged the O/D and the problem would still happen under a load on an incline. My mileage drop before the new airfilter by at least a mile per gallon. I have always gotten 14.9 MPG and now about 13.5 MPG. I know it is not alot but I have driven the truck for 2 1/2 years and always gotten the same mileage. Truck is a 2005 lariat with 82000 miles. I have an Edge set on level 2 that I never change. I would appreciate any input

Thanks Reid </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Prob have a spark plug going bad. If you have access to a scan tool do a power balance test to find out which cylinder it is or you could look at Mode 6 data. I assume the CEL is not on b/c you didn't mention it. If it is on you will have a code for which cylinder too. Might be a good idea to do the whole set of plugs with 82k on the clock.

If it is throwing a code you should be able to check it with the Edge. It is under check for DTC's or something on the programmer. That would be the first thing to do.
