I just had 4 new BFG 315/75/16 AT KO's installed on my EX.
The place I had install them, America's Tires, was a bit expensive, it
was $998 for them with warranty and lifetime rotation taxes blah-blah-blah out the door. BUT...these are the tires to have if you do the stuff
I do. Good for the next 30k!

Yes, these are good tires, but not that great in snow. On my old Ford I had Cooper Discover's are got 40,000 miles out them, then switched to the BFG and only got 25,000. They had more size options then most brands but I feel we should get more than 25,000 miles. I found driving a pickup with no weight in the back you need to replace the tires sooner than say a car or suv to maintain that grip and traction especially on wet roads.
I could have got the tires, only, delivered but not installed for $196 each,
$784 total cost. But then would have had to pay to have them mounted and balanced...
...So I went with the $998 out-the-door price, and since I rotate every
3K miles, 11 times for my last set of the same, for no extra charge...
... I figure the shop will more than earn the $214...
Besides the guys are cool at the shop, and there is a bar and bowling
alley next door, where I wait...
I just put a set of Michelins (265x7516E) on my 250 for a touch less than your BFGs...I got them at Sam's Club.
I had a set of Mastercrafts (the economy Cooper line) that got me 49K miles. This is the first set of Michelins I've ever bought. Since it's a King Ranch I figured they were worth trying. Time will tell.
I've already noticed that the Mastercrafts seemed to be stiffer when taking corners...even when worn to the point of needing replacement. The Michelins are absolutely squishy in those higher speed turns.
