Time to go ported.

Already bored with my sealed box so im wanting to port it.

Its 1.30 cubic feet and im running 1 12" Kicker L7 sub. I loved my ported box for my CVR12 that I had and now want to go ported again. What kind of port? My old box I had a 4"x13" PVC port and tuned to 33hz.

Can someone tell me how you calculate the right size port for a box? Or what size/kind of port should I do?

The dimensions of the box are 23"Long 14" wide 10" deep. I would like to do a nice looking slot port.

Later on im going to get another 12" L7 and make a custom fiberglass box.

Thank you.

The CR factor?

I can't remember it very well, but you should measure the length of the cab. This should define the 1/4 wave you want to port this box for. This is the first calculator I found on google PORT Size Calculations and Formulas for WOOFER and Subwoofer BOXES

Assuming your using the 14" side for the port and 33Hz again, it should be 10.85 square inches. I think I am doing it wrong, but I got a port 12.5"x3.29" and 66.74" long. This sounds close, but someone may know how to do this better than me.

I tried it again over at the12volt and got 72" long 12.5"x3.25" So it's going to be pretty close.
