They shouldn't end the 500 due to rain. It is the race of the year.

I liked the "Digger Cam"! And those announcers were freakin cry babies describing the Jr. move. Then later after the "guys on the track" talked about it, the announcers "gave Jr. the benefit of the doubt". Tools.....

I know there was an Earnhardt drivin, not sure which one. I thought it was a legal move by Jr. just trying to get back up on the track.

the best part of the whole wreck was they weren't even racing for the lead...they were racing to be the first laped car...granted they would have gotten back on the lead lap due to a caution, but quite ridiculous with 70 laps or so left in the race....guess every little bit mattered with the rain coming

Or two 1 lap down racers "fighting over nothing" in the front of a dozen still in it to win it....

Edit: How many laps would have been completed without that 10 car mess? Enough to finish?

See my edit. My point is two lap down racers may have ruined the end. And, the announcers where crucifying one dude when both them knuckleheads had a role in the mess.

My thoughts exactly - although I still root for Mark Martin even though he went to brand X. Should be a interesting season. My wife is happy (Kenseth fan).

I was happy to see Matt win. Those guys were all racing like every lap was the last one knowing the rain was coming. I actually thought it was a good race, no too much of this hanging out and waiting. Once half way they all started racing hard!

Would have been nice to finish under green, but three plus hours to dry the track would have put the race close to midnight. I was glad they made the decision right away instead of holding everything up for several hours only to call it because the track isn't drying fast enough or more rain is coming. JMHO
