if the smoke is coming from the exhaust then it might be an oil leak in the turbo.

how much does the 6637 filter mod and the ccv mod help as far as power/econ/egt etc?

Injector o-rings could be an issue here. Does the engine bog down once she starts smoking like that?

It's possible to have a leak in the turbo as well, but I'd point more to the o-rings. How is your idle? Is it smoothe?

Might be a good idea to do a buzz test aswell.

What rpm does it occur at?

The 6637 introduces colder air into the engine with less restrictions. Colder air is denser, meaning more oxygen. Basically, that big honkin filter lets lets that engine actually breathe for once (of course a a 3" DP and no kitty/muffler will need to be done aswell).

The CCV does nothing for power or temps. Venting the crankcase to the atmosphere keeps that oily residue out of the intake and eliminates the problem with boots blowing off during high boost conditions.
