I'll re-use a previous post...
Ha! Proof that nobody likes to read signatures... There's nothing from Ford trucks there, but there are other trucks shown there.

...Usually I use a couple bags of rice (as temporary enclosures) to hold component speakers in a few different locations while playing music that I've heard performed live. This tells me where the speakers are going to actually sound the best, and then I build/customize from there...

It depends on how much work you want to do. Replacing the factory 6x8 or 5x7 or 6x9 (whatever size they are) with a prefabbed plate and 6.5 or 5.25 components is pretty simple. A few screws here and there, maybe an amp install with some dynamat or similar to seal up and slow the doors down abit. The sounds of using a rice bag, makes me think of building a custom enclosure, probably fiberglass to go where they sounded the nicest. Glassing boxes is a little more noticeable (starts to scream steal me at some point) and is a bit more work. Again it comes down to what you want. Also take a look at Q-Forms, they might still be doing the kick panels. They get secured over the stock kick panels and put your speakers down there. It would be a decent compromise work wise. I don't know how they sound though.
