trans kickdown

hi folks i have a 61 econo p/u with 65 mustang drivetrain 289. i installed a 4 bbl edelbrock wondering if anyone has pics of how you dealt with the trans kickdown lever how you hooked it up to the 4bbl if anyone has done this swap i could use some help orpics thanks mick

I used like 3/8 or 1/2 inch threaded rod and just made bends to make it around the trans and engine. A tight bend at the end allows you to put a washer or two and a nut with some locktite. That's what I did on my 64 Convert Falcon with a 289 Edelbrock and C4 (back when it had an auto, now a Toploader.
