Could you be a tad more specific?

What are you calling a bracket?

What transmission is it?

I don't like using bamboo shoots under the finger nails to get information.

The bottom or the trans connection has the small plastic piece that has a hole in it that presses on the lever on the side of the trans. Tha mounting point at the carb has a small C-clip.

Here is a link to some photos of my freshly rebuilt C4 Automatic Transmission out of my 77 F150 2-wd truck, showing the kickdown bracket. Hope this helps.

Hmmmmmmmm.

That's an arm or lever, not a bracket.

I agree that that is an arm/lever, but it's the closest thing to a bracket like thing that I could think of that Ace was asking about. On my 77 C4 the kickdown rod attaches with C-clips at both the carb linkage and the transmission kick down lever.

Maybe You Don;t Call It A Bracket. But Its The Metal Arm Or Tube That Connects The Carb Throttle Mech To The Transmission. In All My Reading All I Can Determine Is That Its Called A Kickdown Bracket. I Have The Arm/tube But I Can't Find Any Info On How It Attaches To The Trany. I Can Handle The Carb End Of It.
