I decided I'd give the ol eot mod a try, so I went and got some resistors and a potentiometer to keep my options open. What resistance would you all recommend? Its going to be on a switch for those cold mornings when the oil's already nice'n'chilly. And before I go cutting wires, exactly which sensor am i splicing into? I know its in the front of the motor, just not sure exactly where. Any help would be great.
Be careful running the EOT mod with an auto trans. The PCM does not monitor trans fluid temperature but it does use the info from the EOT to determine when to lock the torque convertor. If the PCM thinks that the engine oil is not up to operating temperature it also assumes that the transmission is cold and keeps the torque convertor unlocked to build up additional heat.

This seems to change with pcm codes.
The pcm does use the EOT/TFT/Baro for the trans.
The no tc lock cold was nothing more than ford protecting
themself from tc issues from thick dino and low EPC.
The no lock cold sch is a POS.
I'll keep a close eye out when running the mod. I usually watch the rpms when i get up to speed in the morning to make sure its locked up. If it starts acting funny I'll just take it. I might get some gauges here soon to so I can keep an eye on temps.
the mod has noo effect on my tc lock up timing even on sub zero days. takes the same amount of time and miles driven to get the first engaement of the day with and without the mod in place

I Know for sure you can fool the PCM....(On TFT) ..If you try ....

Is it possible your mod isn't working( as expected) ?

Start the truck and let it run for 10mins then drive away.
Get the results of the tc locking. It should change.
With 10mins of idle time you get very little rise in the TFT and EOT.
