Turns out it was the MAF. Their was no damn screen on it when i purchased a new one to test and some crap got into the sensor area on the old one. Grabbed some MAF cleaner and tried it and its up and running again( it runs just as good on the new maf as the old maf). so I'm off to return that thing. I still replaced the cap and rotor. I ran a battery of test on my MAC scanner and no issues came up! Other then operator error... kinda hard to up the rpms by 600 with no tac.

Congrats on getting it figured out! So much for my diagnostic skills...
sometimes with a k&n air filter the oil will from the filter will screw up sensors near the throttle body (I don't know my sensors very well). I tried for months to figure out what was wrong with my truck, on a whim, I cleaned the sensors up and now it runs great.

My issue turned out to be that the last place that did my oil change botched up the oil changed and shot oil up the breather tube. Which caused oil to get all in the intake and MAF. I don't know why they removed the screen from the MAF but they did and in the process they didn't put the intake back together properly letting unfiltered air get into the system.
