Headlight swap

I am replacing my ugly yellowed 1999 aero style headlight assemblies with the later model pre 2005 jeweled type. How are the assemblies removed? It looks like they "pop" out but I didn't want to break them if I don't have to.
Thanks in advance!

The 04 unclip at two points and pop out of the third. Here's when I did mine, http://sites.google.com/site/reax222...attredirects=0

Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for. I would have broken them for sure.

ReAX, did you try to align your headlights yourself or did you pay someone to do it?

I have to track down a friend of my fathers to get the socket. The E5 torx bit to adjust the headlights is a bear to find locally, I hope to pick one up off the Matco Truck in the next couple of days.

The adjustment is only vertical, which is pretty easy. I think I had it figured at dropping the headlights about 40 milli-radians. I was bored one drive home decided to figure it out in radians. In any case, with a 25 yard range, I'm going to drop the low beam hot spot about a foot and half.

Weird, no horizontal adjustment? E5 torx, what is that? Not the same as a T5 torx I am assuming?
Thanks for the info!

I didn't see any horizontal, but they bolted in pretty close. I just need to bring it down a little.

E5 is a socket that can drive a T5 bit. It's the female torx. E= female and T are the male types.

I was able to find a regular socket that fit on the torx head good enough to adjust my lights, didn't need to buy the special socket.

It can also be done with a set of pliers, or so I've read. However, the right tool makes the job easier.
