I agree. If you flush, the loosened sludge might stop up the oil pump screen and ruin the bearings. I had a friend who made this mistake in a van and he got to buy a used engine.

You might be shocked at how long it may last. This truck went 55,000 between changes once and it has a million miles more on it than your truck. Home

I say change the oil pretty regular and drive it till it blows up. Catastrophic failure is not too likely since it has made it this far. I would think your biggest concern is oil consumption at this point. If the piston rings were deprived of full oil at any time they might be prematurely worn.
