I recently aquired an ipod and it is darn loud. Anyone know some good headphones that i can crank up and still keep the music unheard (or mostly unheard) to the people around me? I gotta take a few road trips carmmed in alittle car with 4 other people and they really dont wanna haer my haggard and skynrd.
Sounds like it is to loud for you too. You will have hearing loss over time until it is so loud that it that it will annoy those around you. Can you hear the traffic over your current ear buds?
Maybe they will be bringing their ipods too so it won't be a problem.
I'm not sure of the model#, but they are made by Shure. I have a pair for my Ipod, that has excellent sound quality. The music is actually very loud, and I have to turn it way down to be comfortable for me.
I got some cheap *** JVC's that look nice and are not too loud on the ears. I had the same thing with my iPod earbuds, until the cheap son of a guns broke on me!
well when they are at a comfortable volume (honestly not that loud) they are almost as loud outside the headphones. I used to have a pair that you could crank up ridicously loud..if ya want.. and it was barely noticeable outside. I was just askin. thanks guys!

Do you have some of those? Kind of pricey, I can't imagine ear buds sounding that good.

I used to have this problem at work, you could listen to music as long as no one else could hear it, and I always found the full size Sony or Dennon ones worked the best. I don't know how they would work with an ipod though.

Yes, I have the Super Fi 5 vi (voice integration) and am in the process of having some casts of my ears made to get a set of custom monitors. IMO you get what you pay for and I am very satisfied.
Skull Candy makes the best ear buds Ive come across. They come with sound deadening cones on them, in 3 different sizes to fit inside your ear. They act like ear plugs and ear buds at the same time. I used to wear them when I worked in a metal shop and even with all the machinery on I could hear my music perfectly.
Skullcandy's are good earbuds, I prefer the JVC Marshmallow's myself. Very comfortable and they deaden sound pretty well. Not to mention they stay in your ear and don't fall out on their own. And they're CHEAP!
