Can someone please post a pic or send it to my email at rsebrin1@yahoo.com
I am trying to see where this tire change tool kit is supposed to go under the hood on the radiator core support. On my 2005, I see no where that a tool kit is supposed to go. There are no bolt holes anywhere to mount the kit. I only ask this, because when I bought the truck, it didnt come with the spare tire, tire cover, which I have since aquired (thanks Dave), or the jack and tool kit. I see just the tools on ebay, and have come across the tools on car-part.com but I am trying to see where these go. As for the jack I just bought an air pneumatic jack that I can hook up to my train horn tank and lift away. Anyway, please if someone has a pic of the tool kit, would you care to post it. I dont know if the it matters but were talking about a 6.0 PSD Excursion. Thanks in advance.
I don't have any pics ,but mine is located all in the back. I iwll get out there today and see exactly how everything is placed and let you know, Mine is also a 05 .6litre diesel.
No part of the jack or jack handle is located under the hood. The jack is located in the compartment on the right in the rear storage area and the tire tool and jack handle are located in a pouch that fits inside the zipper compartment on the spare tire cover.

Did you used to have a Super Duty??? On SD's the crank to lower the spare tire is located above the core support (3 pieces I think)... since our X's share the same parts as a SD there are holes for such.
Roy was correct in his statement that an X's spare tire tool kit is located in a pouch usually stored within it's spare tire cover. The bottle jack is located in the storage compartment of the rear cargo area.
You should be able to find what you need on ebay... or plead your case here.
Well, yeah. On my previous SD, my jack and tool pouch were under the rear split folddown seats. But I am seeing where people are saying their Ex's tool kit is under the hood. And I seen a kit on ebay for an excursion and it shows the under hood kit. So, I am just trying to clarify, for our Ex's, where is your tool kit located?
