Strut Leveling kit option???

You realize the strut and spring are an assembly. Unscrewing the strut bolt that holds the spring assmebly to the strut would be a dangerous undertaking. There's only so much room to remove the strut assembly. If it were longer, you might not be able to remove it from the vehicle. I wouldn't attempt this without a compressor.

I thought that i was like a coil over. So in order to change out the shocks you'd have to take out the coil?

am i also to assume that the rancho shocks do not come with coils as well?

All replacement struts for these trucks are just that, a strut. The Bilstein and Rancho struts both work with the factory coils which you remove from the old strut and mount on the new strut.

that show Trucks on Spike TV did that on a 05 they were making into a Roush Clone (red single cab)


but it is very dangerous, and even those 2 morons on Trucks said it wasn't exactly a good idea.



much much safer to just pull the whole assembly and use a spring compressor. should be able to rent one with just a deposit from most parts stores
