Leveling kit and Track bar

I am going to pull the trigger on this leveling kit but from what I have read you need to install an adjustable track bar. Is this correct? And if it is does anybody have recommendation on a particular one? Thanks

This looks to be a good choice for a track bar.

Not sure what this means- Bilstein Preload Leveling unit. This part allows 2.25 inches of suspension lift. This is done by relocating the spring perch on the unit. This kit also includes 2 new Bilstein springs.- they just show springs and shocks in the box.

I would install the kit and measure from the tire to the frame on each side and see where you are. 2 1/2in isn't a whole lot, you could still be in spec. Even if it's out a touch the truck would still be drivable.

I like this bar over the BD offered. Carli

One thing to consider, you tow that 5th wheel, where are your headlights going to end up?

Rusty not sure what that means exactly another member installed this kit I believe.
I just want to level the truck out I think they look better that way and thought it would be better to use longer springs instead of spacers.

Maxium my next addition will be airbags on the rear to keep me level when the rv is hooked up. It does not squat very bad now but I agree with the leveling kit it will raise the headlights.

Found this on Bilstein looks like all they are doing is installing a longer spring instead of spacers.

Yep. Maybe that's just a general description. There are other items on the page it might apply to. Having an adjustable track bar is cool, you certainly don't want the truck to go down the road dog legging like many of the older F150 do but I'm thinking you may not need one with 2 1/2in of lift.

Sounds like it's boilerplate wording that covers their leveling kits for half tons running struts. On those there are three rings notched into the shock tube that you put a snap ring into that controls the lower perch mount inside the strut and changes how much 'lift' the strut gives you.

Like these, the lower perch is slid over the shock and sits on the moveable ring:

Ahh. I see. I was thinking of my set-up (springs in front of the shocks) and was wondering what was going to be relocated. Makes sense now thanks.

I have a 2.5" leveling kit, no adjustable track bar. The driver's side tire sticks out a half inch more than the passenger side, which kind of bothers me, but there is no difference in driveability and the truck still tracks completely straight.
