I just looked at a 1995 F250 ext cab 4wd powerstroke pickup. The truck has been very well maintained and runs and drives good. The gentleman that owns the truck told me he had taken it in to a tranny shop to have the tranny looked at because it shifts hard. The guy at the tranny shop said it had been rebuilt with a new valve body and a shift kit that is why it shifts very firm. He then went to plug it in to his scan tool but they could not find anywhere to plug it in. I thought the 95's all had computer read out???
Thanks for any help on this.
My 95 had an OBDII port just to the driver side of the glove box at the bottom of the dash. If its not there, there is an OBDI port in the engine compartment.
are you sure its not an idi? wasent there both powerstrokes and idi's in 95? or was that 94? 96 is there year everything went to obdII some 95 psd's did have obdII ports though
'95 cali models had the OBD-II. If the port ain't in the cab, it's under the hood on the driver's side, TJ told you that one. It may have a red cap on it and labeled EEC-IV test port. The transmission is overdrive with the cancel button on the shifter? If it's there and intact, it'll flash if there's a code against the transmission. You can read the codes with a code reader on the test port. It may be a shift kit that got you bumping around. Good luck with it.
