Done some searching and it seems to be a pain and expensive to replace the battery cable. My negative clamp is almost totally gone - what's a solid replacement?
Auto stores seem to have all different lengths of negative battery cables. Is there anything unique about the one I have - or for those of you that have replaced the cable - how long? I have no idea how many other points the cable splits to - if any - other than the frame ground lower down. The positive cable looks like new.
what is gone? the clamp itself? depending on the amount of slack, you could get a new clamp to hold you over till a better answer can be had. just keep you wires neat and clean when assembling the clamp. and put some anti oxidation stuff on it till you get a better solution. I have used these on some cars for years.
