HELP! (I told you)

O.K. so I have my new battery cables. MY big positive and two negative ones. I have connected positive to starter fine. I connected my driver's side negative to the block and it has that little wire that comes out from the end that connects on the battery (you know the one that is about 1/3 as long as the big cable and less than half the width--I don't know what it's called). Well on the other negative cable that same little wire is coming out from the other end where I connect to the block. Is that right? Maybe I have become confused and can't remember how to reconnect everything back in order. It doesn't seem to have a place to connect to. Maybe the guy who made it messed up?

Need help quick please, I really want to have this thing up and running by tomorrow.

Both big negative connections go to the block, the little negative connection goes to, oh heck here's a picture:

Thanks Jim and forgive me I went back out there and found it. Maybe I need more patience not smarts!
