would some one atleast have some respect for one another oh yeah the left side is the drivers side
The best way to identify the position of the block is to say passenger or driver side. The kid "Bear" is correct, the number one cylinder on a Ford FE engine is the passenger side front cylinder. I call Bear kid, because #1 I like him, and #2 I am older than he is. Give us old geezers some slack,,, you will be senile like us someday.
Hey boy or is it kid, Who make you the God of the site to Question other peoples post. You seem to be the FTE PLOICE boy..
Hey Orich,, I see you were over in Viet Nam back in 68-69. My younger brother was there about the same time. I was in Hawaii in 65-66 FOCC Pac. It was not happy times for my brother. He was in a tank retriever squad. He was blasted with agent orange and still has problems today. He was lucky though, because some of our friends did not walk back from that war.
um, Bear, you're losing your memory and your reading comprehension. What Orich said was, as you're looking at the engine, #1 is on your left. When I work on an engine that is in a car, I usually stand in front of it. I don't work on the engine from the driver's seat. You're also forgetting that on the pontiac V8s, the number two piston is in front of the #1 on the crank. It happened that way because of a corporate edict of what the brass thought should be number one cylinder. You really have to be careful when you say ALWAYS. I will say, however, that we can ALWAYS count on you to be ornery and forgetfull. Have a fun day.

Reason: spelling, fat fingers

Obviously you never worked in the industry or you would know that your statement is not only wrong, but not the way it is done ever. So the wrong one, as ALWAYS, is you!

I think God gave me that right and it is garanteed by the Constitution. But so what? FYI I spent my first tour in Souteast Asia from Jan. 1967 to Jan. 1968, started my second in Nov. 1968.
this is great afternoon entertainment! oh and Bear and Maxtor are right, passenger side=right, driver=left, no matter where you are. Thanks for all your services everybody by the way.

Sorry, I have to disagree thanks to the British. They love their right hand drive cars. My son even has a right hand drive 69 Mini.
As for #1 always being to the front the shop manual for my 68 Jag says that the front cylinder is #6.
why are you so insistant on being the center of attention haha
move on in life
You are a little new for that kind of statement. What is your background to be saying anything about what I do? What have you done that makes you qualified to judge anything, much less me? I could care less about being the center of anything, I already had my 15 minutes of fame, several times in fact.

Always an exception
What Ford truck is made in England? When the F series is built in England, home of Lucas electrics, AKA the land of darkness, then I might give a rats a** what they do.
