the only pair I found was at pull-a-part and on top of all the lenses being shattered the wiring was cut on it so I woulda been in splice city. As far as Pep Boys the closest one is an hour away and LMC has the complete assebly but its $$$$$ so my options are kinda limited

Man that sucks. There's a pep boys right down the road from me.Hope you can find a set.
It's just one large circular hole for the plug to pass through and then 2 small screw holes to hold the light assembly.
I got my harness and 3 lights off one truck and the other 2 lights from another truck. It seems as they get old and spending so much time in the sun that they begin to crack. The ones I got already have lots of little spider cracks, but I figure they will be something to start with and I can always get new ones later.
Spider cracks are common with age. Hail storms play hell with the lens too. As of a few years ago, the dealers carried the lens/light unit....pretty reasonable.
I just remembered that when I ordered my 83 from the dealer the salesman couldn't believe I wanted Clearance Lights. He said, "You're gonna have the only half ton with clearance lights!" Flash forward...Truck with lights still truckin'....salesman long gone.
I got the OE replacements from Autozone, got em wired up, but I went to the right ( passenger ) side to look for that brown wire and couldnt find it... maybe its on the left?

It's on the driver's side.Right behind the kick panel. It's kinda hard to miss.Hope you find it.I found mine, and will probably head out to the local yard this weekend for a center console lid for my new Ranger, and the clearance lights and harness for the F100.
yeah I had to wire them in series with 1 wire via open splices, tried pluggin em into the parking lamp fuse, turns out it has constant power Der, but they are bright as day. Dont even need headlights at night lol. I'll take that brown wire if it has a connector and cut the connector and spice into it
