v-10 problems

Hello Im having acouple of problems with my 02 f250 v10 it makes a raddly hissing sound at 2 thousand rpm.The outher problem is its gutles at highway speeds it seems like the trans wont kick down.It also chatters intell if finaly kiks down.Trans shop gave it a clean bill of health and said all my problems are in the exaust but the exaust shop says that there is nothing wrong. any advise is much appr.Thanks

Have you checked the fuel filter or checked the pressure at the fuel rail to see if the fuel pump is delivering proper pressure? It's probably starving for fuel.

Catalytic converter is plugged most likely.

That is the second place to look at.

How would I find out what the fuel presure should be?I'm going to get the caddy checked just havent made it there yet. What is a maf some sort of sensor? My check engine light hasnt came on,and i assume it hasnt thrown any codes.Thanks again

I know I hear a "Flutterring sound around 2000 RPM's as well. From reading a huge selection of post on here I have come to think that the problem lies within the exhaust system. Your '02 is set up like mine except for the 250-350 difference. The factory "Y" pipe is more of a restricting "T" instead. All of the research I have done is to replace this with an aftermarket Y-pipe that is more free flowing. $40 on ebay and the noise should go away. That is my opinion only but it wouldn't hurt either way to get rid of the power loss section of you exhaust either way. Good luck!!

How would I find out what the fuel presure should be?

key on, engine off pressure should be 35-45psi
engine running pressure should be 28-45psi

Sweet.Im so glad that my truck is not screwed up the noise does come from around the y pipe but im still going to check fuel pres and converter cant hurt right. I just had a flowmaster put on so i could not hear the noise but its still there right on
