neither mod will hurt drivability, only improve performance.

link to pictures of how to do the icp mod- Injection Control Pressure mod pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots

link to how you do the eot mod- oil temp mod pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots

there is one HUGE disadvantage that i notuced. my truck pulls better with the 14.7 icp than the 20. dont know exactly why. maybe givin it to much fuel pressure. but not to sure. hope the info helps. keep in mind you will hav to play with combos of resisters to see how your truck runs cause no two trucks are the same. and i also noticed a slight increase in mileage

my truck with no chip or resistors installed- YouTube - bonestock

my truck with only the 14.7 icp installed- YouTube - 14.7 only

my truck with a superchip, 14.7k icp, 4.7k eot, 6.0 intercooler, 3 inch downpipe to 4 inch pipe to 5 inch pipe in the bed to 6 inch stacks, and a free-flowing intake.

when i was using my edge evolution programmer i could get smoke, but not much. i actually only dyno'd 204hp with an edge 10k mod and intake/exhaust with stock downpipe. if you really want to roll coal you need the injectors. if you want to boost the power more than about 70hp depending on how many miles is on your injectors, then you really need at least a stage 1 injector kit.

there are kits to build our injectors and a stage 1 kit is around $400. if you get interested in blowing a "giant plume of black smoke"(quoted from an email a friend of mines mom got from someone who was pissed off over the smoke she saw coming out of both of our trucks.).

you can build your own intake system as well pretty cheap. just need a part number 6637 air filter from www.fleetfilter dot com and a piece of 4" exhaust pipe.

here is a vid of my truck blowing a little smoke with the edge-- dyno vid

here is a video after stage 1 injectors with the edge-- rollin' coal

So i just need to get a 14.7 K resistor and a 20K resistor? I can then try which one works better and I like better...

Also it seems like your turbo spools quicker... I hear yours hawling at less than 2000 RPM in your videos and when i rev mine at idle in neutral it seems to stumble at around 2100 RPM and then really start howling...

Ill get a video of it tommorow... But I will do a 14.7K first and then try a 20K... THe truck has 212K miles on it...

What type of boost do these run stock?

I really dont feel like dropping a lot of money in this truck....

maybe a down pipe, 14.7K mod, 4.7 EOT mod, chip and stacks...

With that said, how do you do the EOT mod? The one Joe put up did not work... also will you elaborate more on the homemade intake?

Thanks guys

The resistor mods are basically a cheap chip, so if your going to get a chip anyways I wouldnt bother messing with them. Stock boost is somewhere from 14-17 I think ( dont quote me) but the ICP mod ive heard will give you 2-3 more lbs of boost. Once you have an air intake and free flowing exhaust you might can a couple lbs too. As far as the EOT mod I know you splice a resistor into the temperature sensor, but I would put it on a switch. I think the sensor is somewhere in the front of the engine, not sure exactly where at. The homemade intake is buying a filter and just replace the stock intake with a piece of 4" exhaust pipe from the Plastic piece on the intake side of the turbo over to your new filter.

The homemade intake is basically the same as a Tymar intake. Look it up. You just need a piece of 4" pipe with a 45* bend and the filter.

Well I have a triple a pillar pod for a 92-97 f250... But pryo and boost I need to buy, it has a 5 speed in it, so I'm not sure if I should return the triple for a double...

Also the chip will probably not come for about 6 months. I will try the icp tonight maybe. I took a video of the tach and reving it up, but I'm at school so I cannot post it yet...

Well I was just to mention with the chip (even with only the 1OK mod IMHO) that you need gauges to monitor your motor.

I have read that in RadioShack.

first off... doing stuff to your truck just to make smoke is RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you're giving a bad name to diesels everywhere if you do that!!! there's a reason the EPA hates us.... the only time i'll ever blow smoke is if someone is tailgating me A LOT or if i'm making a video just to show the smoke that i can make, but i do not drive around blowing smoke just to "**** off prius owners"
my truck is making 2 and a half times the stock power with bigger injectors and everything and at WOT i'm still only blowing out a light haze...
but if you're intent on making smoke just to make smoke then by all means go ahead but i strongly recommend against it

YouTube - PowerStroke Diesel

Radio Shack will have the resistors you need...

there is the truck today at school in the parking lot...

I really dont want to smoke black all the time... I have always thought it was cool how diesels do smoke though...

I have some neighbors that hate me and my buddies and how we act and drive... (pruis drivers)... but the black smoke would be more for just when somebody i know is around to blow it on them.... but I dont think im going to do injectors or antyhing special so i guess i get to keep my clear smoke for now.

Yeah i wouldn't do any thing to just blow smoke, if ya want to do that just block part of the intake.

IMO you only spend money and time on mods for power or economy increases.
