Ya'll have to pay taxes on all of ya'll vehicles in KY??
Yeah, I think it's a bunch of crap too. I have to pay something over $200 every year for my 04 f250 and probably another $200 something now for the wifes envoy (haven't had to pay it yet, but it is due this month, just havent recieved the bill yet). My 90 F250 costs me about $50-$60 dollars a year if I am remembering right. And then we got that stinking Landrover that is going to be hard to get rid of unless I just send it to the junkyard.
I know there are a few states that make you pay property taxes every year on vehicles. Ky even has a statute to make sure that people do not register their vehicles in other states to get out of paying the KY property tax every year on them. It goes something like, "Residence registering vehicle out of state to defraud the commonwealth of annual property tax" or something like that, it has been a bit since I have dealt with it, I actually seen that one charged several times and know for a fact that Ohio does not charge this annual property tax (That is where people in the Northern part of the state like to register their vehicles to get out of paying this tax, from what I have seen).
THAT'S B.S.
Oregon has personal property tax on buisnesses that goes to the counties. I think it sucks too.
You never get to actually own anything because the Gov't charges you to own it. I don't know how it's even constitutional.
I'm dang sure the founding fathers wouldn't have wanted it!
it a funny story how i got the chevy he guy is a hard core ford like he will only drive ford hes like 27 and his ex took his in the devorced and sold it for a 1 dollor and left him the chevy i had to go pick it up he wounld drive at all
I used to have an ex like that, she'd only buy GM and wouldn't help me work on my Ford (yet she demanded I work on her El Camino), but she'd wind up that poor 302 till the speedometer starts pointing at "D" on the gear indicator, and once all the way up to "P". Then once she took off for a weekend and came back with a '77 F150 upgraded to 1-ton running gear and rolling on 44s, every time I'd ask her what happened to her "only GM" beliefs she'd reply with just "it's a good truck", and if I kept bugging her she'd get pissed and start throwing stuff at me, freakin hilarious!
it dark out and the trucks stealth back and we pull the tranny of the new idi where going to do what dave did to his them iang going to race dave for pinks lol
