95 explorer 4wd problems
I have a 1995 ford explorer with 4wd, the other day i went to use the 4wd and when i pushed the button on my dash the light came on but the 4wd wouldn't engage the light stayed on for awhile and then would blink and go off then repeat after about 2-5 min, now I posted a forum once and some one said that it could be the auto locking hubs being dirty but after doing some research I found out that there was somthing call a vacuum disconnect axle locking system. now i have been having some problems with a vacuum line being out of place because my heater won't shift from def to the dash or floor so i have the address that problem but could that also be the reason the 4wd is not working. I have know idea if anyone has worked on this system please let me know your input on how to address this problem

Mine was dirty, but I think you're right, there was/is a vacuum related to the heater/defrost in other vehicles, so it might be in the 1995 Exp. I'd check that out, or pull a wheel off and see if it's gunked up.
