okay guys I have used the site a lot just researching, but have never posted, I do all of my work myself, and normally can diagnose and fix most things on f150s and the 7.3, with that being said the IWE system on my 2004 f150 has thrown me for a loop. I had some problems with the front end, the actual hub went bad, (grinding), I pulled the old one off and replaced it, also replaced cv axle while I was in there. After I replaced the hub, my 4x4 stopped working. Has not worked since. I put the truck in 4hi and the light illuminates on the dash, but the tires do not pull. I put the truck in 4low and the light again illuminates, and the trans re-gears as normal but again the tires do not pull. I have replaced the solenoid on the firewall, and still the same problem. I jacked the truck up and put it in 4x4 hi and low and the front driveshaft is locking in (not spinning freely) so I know the transfer case is good and is working. Next I had someone move the truck while I was watching and the cv axles are spinning in 2wd and 4wd, I pulled the vacuum line from the solenoid and it is pulling good, next I pulled the vacuum line from the actuators and the passenger side is pulling good, the driver side however is pulling very very weak to no pull at all.. I traced the vacuum lines and everything looked good. I also pulled the vacuum lines off the actuators on both sides and moved the truck and the tires still aren't spinning, (not locking in) what should I do next? Should I replace the actuators? Is there anyway to check if they are working? Also the hub I replaced was the passenger side and the driver side is the one that is not pulling vacuum. Any help would be really helpful as I am lost at what to check next, don't really want to go buy actuators considering they aren't like the $25 solenoid but if there is no way to check them I guess I will. I am lost. Any help will be greatly appreciated and if I left any info off I will try to answer any questions. Thanks guys!!
