Recommended machine shops
Okay everyone, I'm rather interested in getting some work done on the truck now. Nuts on any kind of diesel conversion for now while I have a perfectly good original FE candidate brought out from my parents' place.
My question to anyone in the Milwaukee, WI area is this: Are there any reputable and fair machine shops you could recommend to me? I asked someone about Borchards on 27th St., but I really don't remember what their answer was. Art, I think you'd mentioned being in Milwaukee, got any clue?
It's really too bad I'm not in Great Falls, MT, still... I know Automotive Machine just about had a line out their door for their work.

I got a great guy in Canton, Ohio. FE guru of the area. Kinda far to ship though. He falls into the "not cheap", but you won't get a better motor. I've used him for 20 yrs now.
Best bet is likely to mark down all the known mods to have done and give it to your local shop. Give them the information to go buy and then recheck everything when you get it home.

Honestly, I'm just looking for machine work, not build work. I'm ambitious enough to just do the build myself, it's my bike I don't want to touch. 
Oh, and even if I didn't work at O'Reilly/Checker Auto, I wouldn't talk to the Autozone if I had to. My dealings with them include morons and continual repetition of information, as is the same experience from at least half my customers.
