rear end

Can anyone tell me what might be a bolt in replacement rear end for the stock in a 55 f100? I am looking to match the 5 on 4.500 pattern that is on the front. 460 w/c6 drivetrain. At this point I just want to get it running with a minimum of trouble. I figure if I can get it on the road again I can start working on it and go from there.

I don't know of a direct bolt on with 5X 4.5; the bolt on ones are the same as the original 55 bolt pattern. Its pretty simple to weld on spring pads on a 9" or 8.8" with the 5X4.5 bolt pattern. I you don't have anything to measure the pinion angle just jack the rear end up put it on axle stands measure the distance from the floor to the U-joint cup, put you other rear end center it then move the yoke until the U-jount cup measures the same distance as the other rear end. You have to use the same jack stands and take the measurements from the same spot on your floor at least it worked for me twice.
