I always have a project going and two getting ready it seems. For my next trick I want to redo my exhaust from the header collectors back. Main problem is the tranny crossmember is right in back of the collector openings (I'm running 12" header extendtions). After the extentions the pipe has to curve up sharply to clear. I'd like to run 2 1/4 pipe all the way back over the rear axle. I like my Midas lifetime muffler sound but they are probably restrictive and I plan a header mount. Any suggestion on the cross member other than making my own? How about muffs that wont vibrate the interior screw loose and still sould good?
