i have a 94 f150 and i want better throttle response..perhaps more passing power. its only an I6 4.9L.. would headers do the trick . please help .. its getting scarier to pass every time when i hit the gas and nothins really there..

well header probuly wont do much for you. your truck should basicly have them stock, what it is, is the manifold is a two piece set up. so headers wont do anything for you. look throught the inline six fourm. lots of post on power

If its more power you want then you have only one thing to do. Rip out that sissy I6, and throw in a 5.0, or a 5.8. i'd say throw in a 460 but that would most likely not fit. if you do swap the engine you will have to get new front springs with the heavier engine

Hey Man that 4.9 is probbally the most durable engine ford ever built. I would recomend a flomaster or dynamax single in dual out 350 chevy muffler and a K&N replacement filter. I've ran both mufflers on a 4.9 and you could notice the difference. Remember, It won't sound like a V-8 but it has a nice thoaty sound.
