I love towing stuff, lol. 3 days ago I got to (didn't have to) pull a pontoon boat from my father-in-law's up 30 miles to a shop of his. He had a truck, but was in his g/f's car. Love to tow stuff, lol. Don't ask me the weight or even length of it, I don't know much about boats except it's a fairly large pontoon.

I'm the exact same way. When I first bought my truck when I was 15 or 16 I would never work it. I didn't want my truck getting scratched or dirty. Now it's all I can do to not aim my truck towards the nearest hill, mud hole or even back it up to a tree stump just to see if I can pull it out. I LOVE doing that crap. I love taking my truck through a little mud, seeing how much it can safely haul and tow!
I run the crap out of my truck now too. Before I would never be hard on it. Maybe that's why I'm getting top end noises now?
I think if you and I ever got together, we would get into some serious trouble.

Thats cool, but sometimes that is part of the fun too! Just seeing what the other guy's rig will do!
i think that all the I6's should have come with a manual 5 speed. Having driven one with an e40d and one with a 5 speed the difference is night and day.

Oh no doubt! I love to watch traffic just for this reason. I love going to car shows and stuff like that. I'll run through YouTube for truck pulls and things like that.
Still, nothing is quite so fun as getting muddy yourself!

You can understand why I complain about lugging / lack of power. The motor feels strong, but it feels like something is "missing".. About 15% of my power thanks to the tranny. LOL.
Ford shouldn't have paired the six's with automatics from the factory. My first gear is somewhere north of 11.1.1, but it just doesn't feel like it. I'm betting if I had a manual I could roast the tires with ease in first.
(I just wrote like five minutes worth of stuff only to have this mentally disabled lap top eat it. I'll just write a brief part of it.)
hehehe! I'm sure!
I can't feel too bad. I saw on a truck show one time they got a single cab short bed F-150 with the 5.4L. They couldn't get the truck to do a burnout for nothing. All it would do is launch. Oh, it had no problem doing donuts on dry concrete after the super charger though!
Goes to show, it really is all in the gearing.
Speaking of super chargers.. Where is your write up Chris?

Go back a page or two in this 300 forum, you can at least see my initial brainstorming for it there, i will get back to putting up the full 300 six performance write up once i get some free time, been a little busy lately. Ill try to get it up tonight though.
